4.Production Infrastructure Rehabilitation Program
OFID was the only foreign investor of the programme. The program was aimed at promoting the development of the private sector and trade opportunities, eliminating obstacles related to infrastructures that limit the involvement of rural communities in profitable production activities. Community councils, producers' associations and interested farming groups submitted proposals for sub-projects related to irrigation systems, local roads and bridges, livestock watering systems, the supply of clean drinking water and natural gas. A total of 24 communities have benefited from rehabilitated infrastructure, and 14 communities have benefited from improved roads.
