The PIU Procurement Division specifies the goals, objectives, competences, responsibilities and powers as regards the procurements undertaken by the RAED PIU.
The Division is an independent structural unit subordinated directly to the Director. It is managed by the Head of the Division. The incumbent is recruited through tender and is appointed as per the Decree of PIU Director with prior approval of IFAD. H/she is dismissed as per the Decree of PIU Director with prior notification to IFAD. The Division employees are recruited through tender and are presented by the Head of Division and appointed as per the Decree of PIU Director with prior approval of IFAD. Dismissal is based on substantiation by the Head of Division and is arranged as per the Decree of PIU Director with prior notification to IFAD.
Division Objectives are as follows:
- Arrangement of all procurement processes, including the procurement of vacancies in the PIU;
- Development of procurement policy and aligning it with respective international and local regulations;
- Organization of Evaluation Committee activities;
- Preparation of the procurement plan and submitting it to consideration and approval of the Development Committee.
