DRINKING WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM IN METZ MASRIQK UNDER COMPLETE RECONSTRACTION
18.08.2016The reconstruction of drinking water supply system in the village of Metz Masrik in Gegharkunik marz was launched this July and is currently proceeding and after the completion of the project, the village will have round-the-clock water supply, solving the water supply problem.
As “Armenpress” was informed by the secretary of Metz Masrik’s Municipality’s staff member Edik Pogosyan, constructive works are carried out with funds provided by the State Agency “Rural Areas Economic Development Programs Implementation Unit” Staff of the Government of the Republic of Armenia (READ PIU) on the amount of 694 million AMD. The municipality of the village Metz Masrik funded 34 million 700 thousand AMD.
“The program is designed for reconstruction of 14 km external and 6 km internal networks, 1 chlorination units, 1 guard booth, 4 damping chambers, 6 manholes. During the past and half months, the works of the company “Medison able” worked at full speed completing 30 percent of the complete work. The completion of the construction is set at 2 years, but the workers are trying to complete the main works during this year. This project have had extremely important value for the village. The reconstruction of the external network was especially very important, as the loss was 50 percent there. The worker’s measurements showed that from 30-liter second power pond nearly 15 liters reach to the daily regulatory pond. For last year’s we reconstructing about 12 km from 16 km networks. The other 4 km is being reconstructed in the streets where the internal network had been absent. After the completion of the project, we will solve regular and round-the clock drinking water supply problem. Not only all houses but also state and privet institutions will have round-the clock water supply”, said Edik Pogosyan.
